BODY MIND & SOUL GREEN PROTEIN SMOOTHIE .jpg

This creamy green smoothie is all about nourishing the body, mind and soul.  There is a reason for each and every ingredient, and they all work together to help you look and feel your best, inside and out.

The complete recipe is detailed below, but here are the "whys":

  • Coconut KEFIR - rich in probiotics to support the gut and immune system for a stronger body and mind

  • BANANA - minerals including potassium to keep the heart and muscles working properly

  • Leafy GREENS - we know these are good for the body and they help keep the mind sharp, too!

  • COLLAGEN peptides (vegan sub protein powder) - support healthy muscles, joints, skin, and gut

  • AVOCADO - rich in brain-strengthening oleic fatty acids

  • Fresh MINT (or basil) - vibrant, flavourful, invigorating and helps digestion, energy & mood, too!

  • CHIA seeds - rich in antioxidants, minerals, healthy fats, protein & fibre for a healthy body, mind & digestive tract

  • MATCHA powder - relaxes the body & calms the mind while also boosting concentration & metabolism

  • Fresh GINGER - so good for the gut and to spice things up!

  • Raw HONEY (preferably Manuka) - prebiotic for gut health, some quick energy and a little sweetness; Manuka has been celebrated for its anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits

  • Ground TURMERIC and a pinch of black PEPPER to help absorb it - a powerful natural medicine with benefits for body & mind

For one serving, blend together until smooth:

  • 1 cup or more coconut kefir (or other milk-based kefir), adjusted to taste and consistency*

  • 1/2 frozen banana

  • 1 handful of leafy greens

  • small handful fresh mint or basil leaves

  • 1 packet Crushed Tonic probiotic marine collagen or 1 Tbsp Further Food collagen peptides or 1 Tbsp Nuzest Clean Lean Smooth Vanilla or Just Natural protein powder*

  • 1/4 ripe or frozen avocado

  • 1 Tbsp chia seeds

  • 1/2 to 1 tsp high-grade matcha powder (optional, adjusted to taste)

  • 1 to 3 tsp peeled grated fresh ginger (optional, adjusted to taste)

  • 1/4 to 1/2 tsp ground turmeric and a pinch of black pepper (optional)

  • raw honey, Lakanto sugar-free monkfruit sweetener, or sweetener of choice, adjusted to taste (optional)

  • optional toppings: bee pollen, edible flowers, or toppings of choice
