"NUTELLA" OVERNIGHT OATS

Ok, here’s another recipe for all you Nutella lovers out there.  Seriously — we're talking #healthyfoodporn at its FINEST.  These overnight oats are thick, creamy, and decadent with that wonderful rich hazelnut & chocolate flavour.  But they are also free of refined sugar and packed with fibre, protein, and healthy fats, too!

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 1/3 cups gluten-free old-fashioned rolled oats

  • 1/4 cup chia seeds

  • 1/4 cup hazelnut flour (or finely ground hazelnuts)

  • 1/4 cup chopped roasted hazelnuts

  • 3 to 4 Tbsp Giddy Yo raw cacao powder, adjusted to taste

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp sea salt

  • 3 cups unsweetened hazelnut or almond milk

  • Lakanto Sugar-free Monk fruit Sweetener, or sweetener or choice, adjusted to taste

  • optional toppings: fresh berries, Giddy Yo cacao nibs or diced dark chocolate, chopped roasted hazelnuts, coconut chips, granola, bee pollen, nut butter, or toppings of choice

Directions:

  1. Put oats, chia seeds, hazelnut flour, chopped hazelnuts, cacao powder, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl or divide among single-serving mason jar(s) and stir to combine.

  2. Add nut milk and mix well. Adjust cacao powder and add sweetener to taste.

  3. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

In the morning, stir and add additional nondairy milk as needed for desired consistency. Serve warm or cold with your choice of toppings. Nutella Overnight Oats can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 4 to 5 days.
